Zyprexa (olanzapine) is a medication used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It has sometimes been prescribed along with Prozac. The medication is manufactured by the company Eli Lilly & Co. Since 2001, serious side effects have been linked to its use.

Pneumonia has also been linked to use of Zyprexa. Because of the seriousness of the above health complications, Zyprexa lawsuits began to increase. Furthermore, a medical journal reported that the drug's manufacturer Eli Lilly & Co. knew of the link to diabetes since 2001. The FDA required Lilly to print the warning label regarding diabetes risk in 2003.
