Connecticut’s Choate Rosemary Hall boarding school has dismissed faculty member Julie Oxborough-Yankus. After receiving a report alleging that Oxborough-Yankus had engaged in sexual misconduct with a then-enrolled Choate student, the School placed the teacher on off-campus, administrative leave and launched an investigation into the matter. The allegations were also reported to the proper authorities.
The School’s investigation apparently uncovered additional allegations of sexual misconduct by the teacher that occurred in previous years and concluded “that there is sufficient and credible information to support the finding of sexual misconduct by Ms. Oxborough-Yankus against more than one student.” As a result, the teacher’s employment at Choate was terminated.
